Focus and Scope

The bilingual Journal of Antipoetry Studies / Revista de Estudios Antipoéticos (JAPS-REVESA) provides a fully peer-reviewed platform for original research relating to Nicanor Parra’s antipoetry or any of its ramifications across linguistic and media boundaries. The first of its kind, the journal publishes articles, commentaries and reviews in English or Spanish quickly and free of charge, aiming to stimulate debate amongst specialists from different linguistic backgrounds. Its open-access policy further aims to raise general awareness of Nicanor Parra’s work and its legacy. The journal welcomes comparative work and is open to a variety of angles and methodological approaches.

Journal of Antipoetry Studies / Revista de Estudios Antipoéticos (JAPS-REVESA) es una plataforma bilingüe y revisada por pares para artículos de investigación originales que hacen respecto a la antipoesía de Nicanor Parra o cualquiera de sus ramificaciones, más allá de fronteras lingüísticas y mediáticas. Es la primera revista especializada de este tipo, publicando artículos, comentarios y reseñas en castellano o inglés de manera rápida y gratuita a fin de estimular el debate entre especialistas de diferentes ámbitos lingüísticos. La política de acceso abierto tiene además como objetivo aumentar el conocimiento general de la obra de Nicanor Parra y de su legado. La revista acogerá con gusto trabajos comparativos y está abierta a una variedad de perspectivas y enfoques metodológicos.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published online as a single continuous volume and issue per year. Articles are made available as soon as they are ready to ensure that there are no unnecessary delays in making content publicly available.

La revista se publica en línea con un único volumen y número continuos por año. Para evitar retrasos innecesarios en hacer disponible el contenido de la revista, los artículos se publicarán tan pronto como salgan del proceso de evaluación, corrección y edición.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Authors of articles published remain the copyright holders and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce, and share the article according to the Creative Commons license agreement.

Archiving Policy

The journal’s publisher focuses on making content discoverable and accessible through indexing services. Content is also archived around the world to ensure long-term availability.

  • Journals are indexed by Google Scholar and available for harvesting via OAI-PMH.
  • DOAJ registration will be completed for our journals on an individual basis as soon as possible.
  • To ensure permanency of all publications, this journal utilises the Portico service to create permanent archives for the purposes of preservation and restoration.
  • Journal content is also made available via Cardiff University’s institutional repository, ORCA.

JAPS-REVESA was founded in 2017 as an open-access e-journal by its editors Dr Tilmann Altenberg (Cardiff University) and Prof Álvaro Salvador (Universidad de Granada).
